Television across the UK is going digital. Here in the Meridian region the process starts as soon as 8 February 2012 in parts of Berkshire and Wiltshire, and northern Hampshire.
Digital switchover is when the existing analogue TV signal is turned off and replaced with a new, stronger digital TV signal. This means that anyone receiving their TV signal through an aerial (as opposed to cable or satellite) who is not ready for the digital switchover could be left without a TV picture.
If you live in Newbury or the surrounding area please come and visit our advice point, open from 10am - 4pm, with any questions or queries that you have about the Switchover and how to get your TV to go digital!
