Community Fund for Empty Homes Projects Announced

Andrew Stunell, Communities Minister, today announced the details of how community and volunteer groups can bid into a £30m fund to bring empty homes back into use in their communities. Empty Homes Fund Details

This could provide an exciting opportunity for community and volunteer groups to put together projects with real benefits for the communities they live in. 

The fund is being administered by Tribal. Successful applications will:

  • bring empty homes back into use as affordable housing
  • deliver value for money
  • have support from their local authority
  • expect to be complete by 31 March 2015

Deadline for bids is 17th April 2012.
