Funding Available through RASP

Released on 26/07/2010

We have just under £30,000 left this financial year to be given to parish planning & community groups who wish to carry out projects coming out of community plans or public meetings.

RASP funding is provided by SEEDA and is monitored by CCB. Individual grants of up to £5,000 are available for local Parish Planning Groups, Parish Councils and other community groups.

The funding grants are for rural parishes in Berkshire, and are to be used to help fund community projects run by community groups.

The funding is to be used to address the problem of diminishing services in rural areas. It can fund projects that provide a needed community service, or which help to provide transport to a needed service. Smaller communities can join together with other neighbouring smaller communities to pool the money for projects that will benefit them.

The money supports Parish Plan Action Plans –please click here to find out more about Parish Plans.

If your project does not come out of a parish plan, it must be shown that there is community support for the project. Results of public consultation along with evidence of this must be submitted with the application for

The money can be used for capital & revenue projects and there is no match funding asked for, although communities who have raised some money towards a project will be looked on favorably.
