The Museum of English Rural Life host CCBs AGM

This year CCB is holding our AGM at the Museum of English Rural Life on the afternoon of Thursday 23rd September.

CCB provides community development support committed to tackling social exclusion and developing rural and urban communities.Working in partnership with government, local authorities, private and voluntary sectors, CCB delivers a wide range of projects that have a positive and long-lasting impact on communities in the South East. Our work encompasses a wide range of functions including a specialist rural delivery team and a voluntary sector support team. We also have a wealth of experience of working with a wide range of disadvantaged and minority groups.

The Museum of English Rural Life (MERL) houses the most comprehensive national collection of objects, books and archives relating to the history of food, farming and the countryside. MERL is dedicated to the spirit of the English countryside and its people. It seeks to build, interpret and convey a record of rural life through its collections for the benefit of all.

CCB would like to invite interested parties to attend our AGM. The afternoon will commence at 2pm with an invitation to look round the Museum and partake in light refreshments. The AGM will begin at 3pm with a presentation: 'Communities are Capitalising on New Opportunities' given by Gavin Parker, Professor of Planning Studies at the University of Reading and Chair of CCB.
