Welcome to the Extended Schools' Theale Partnership website  
 Statement of Purpose of the PartnershipThe purpose of the Partnership is to ensure that the young people, families and communities that it serves have access to a wide range of well organised, safe and stimulating activities and opportunities beyond the school day. We will provide opportunities which may help parents and other adults improve their skills and employability. We believe that the wider range of experiences, including access to specialist help, will make a positive difference to young people’s chances at school; and that the activities will also help them keep fit and healthy, acquire new skills, build on what they learn during the school day and provide relaxation, enjoyment and fun. 

The Theale Extended Schools’ Partnership is a family of ten schools working together:

So what do we do?The Extended Schools’ Partnership works for families and communities and we will provide a range of services which can take place at school or elsewhere:  

         study support a really wide range of activities outside of ‘normal’ school hours, , and includes homework clubs, sports, music, dance, drama, arts and crafts, special interest clubs (like chess or first aid), visits to museums and galleries, language learning, volunteering and enterprise activities. 

         childcare which is high quality and affordable from 8am to 6pm, year round. 

         parenting & family support including family learning, parenting programmes, and information on local and national parenting support services.  

         easy access to specialised support services for children and families, like speech therapy, behaviour support, the child and adolescent mental health services. 

         community access to schools for adult learning and community clubs and activities. 

Who decides on which services are provided?Parents, carers, young people and children, schools and local communities decide – the Partnership consults with you and listens to your voice, and we respond to what you need.
