Feasability grants for community organisations

The Feasibility element of the Fund is for organisations that have ideas and need assistance with project development. The aim is to develop organisations to such a level that they can qualify for investment.

The Investment element of the Fund is for organisations that are ready to grow and expand their role within the community and are on the way towards financial self-reliance through the generation of unrestricted and/or earned income.

Loans are a fundamental part of this element and bringing organisations to the point where they are ready to take on a loan is the ultimate aim of the Fund.

The Kent People's Trust

In 2000 a group of public and private organisations, led by Kent Police, recognised the need to help prevent crime before it started. They wanted local people to be able to help themselves so set up a trust to distribute funds to help people tackle the causes of crime in their communities. Since then, the Trust has donated over
£500,000 to local projects in Kent and Medway.

We work with a wide range of individuals and organisations providing everything from youth clubs to security advice for the elderly, graffiti cleanup to CCTV for women’s refuges, youth mentoring to drug rehabilitation schemes. These projects help prevent crime, and genuinely improve the safety and well being of local communities.
