COMMA Fund
Once again CCB is administering the COMMA Fund which opened on 1 March. Grants of between £3,000 and £20,000 are available to community groups in Berkshire which are based within 10k of an aggrgate extraction site, either current or disused. (However, there is only £20,000 available as funding for Berkshire as a whole). The proposed project will produce community benefit, the applicant must be a community group, a charity or parish/town council and the project must be completed by 31 March 2011. The closing date for applications is Friday 14 May.
Three projects were funded in Berkshire last year, improvements for fire safety at Chieveley Village Hall, renovation of a meeting room at St. George's church Wash Common and environmental improvements ,new paths planting and signs at Burnham Grove nature reserve at Britwell, near Slough.
