Greenham Fun Day is a hit!
Live music, lots of sun, good food, plenty of football, fire engines and a smoothy maker on a bike were all on offer at the first Greenham Fun Day organised by the Greenham's Future Parish Plan Team on the 6th June at St. Mary's Church, PIgeons Farm.
Greenham's Parish Plan survey highlighted a desire by local residents for more events that would help to  create a sense of community.
Over 150 local residents came along and the day was supported by Greenham Parish Council, Sovereign Housing's Neighbourhood Wardens, Thames Valley Police, Greenham Common Trust, The Royal Fire and Rescue Service, BBOWT ,Greenham Friends, Ace Space Musicians and CCB.
The day was a great hit!
Hermitage Village Vision is launched.
Hermitage launched its Village Vision on the 29th May 2010 with  consultation events at the Primary School and Village Hall. 90 residents visited the two sites and contributed their thoughts about living in Hermitage. A range of methods were used to capture ideas and issues, these included the use of the village model made by children at the local  school,a video diary and photographic competition. The Hermitage Memory Lane and the  Environmental Displays also generated discussion as did the proposed Greening Campaign .
The Village Vision team will now start to develop their questionnaire which will be distributed in the autumn to all residents.
Celebrating in style
50 Padworth residents celebrated the publication of their Parish Plan at a special lunch on the 30th May 2010 in their village hall. It was enjoyed by all and the children attending had great fun playing on the bouncy castle and with farm animals brought in by a local nursery.

The team will now start implementing their plan.
