Lambourn 20-20 team are out and about.
Lambourn young people speak out
CCB and members of the Lambourn 20-20 Vision Group were in Lambourn Primary School last week building a model of the village. Over 60 young people helped out with painting and decorating the map with local features. They also gave their ideas of what they liked and disliked about the village through drawings.
The eyecatching model was later taken to the Friday village market which provided a great place to chat to local people about their village 106 comments were made to the team anfd these will be used to formulate the village questionnaire.

The profile of the plan was raised and new volunteers stepped forward. The model will be on display again at the August Gala Night over August Bank Holiday.
Students at John O'Gaunt have also been taking part in the consultation and many issues were raised, including increasing sports facilities and widening the range of shops and food outlets in the village. Increasing transport opportunities which were felt to be lacking and even the return of the train was on their wish list of ideas!
A number of young people felt concerned about the numbers of people sitting in the market place at night and their general safety. All these ideas and thoughts will be incorporated into the Lambourn 20-20 Vision over the coming months.
