How do you make a Big Society a Strong Society?

Everybody Matters

All individuals, groups and communities need to be empowered. The vulnerable, disadvantaged and hard to reach groups within communities will need to play their part if services are to be sustainable. Strengthening and extending links and communication is the way forward.

everybody matters training is research based and enables you to provide inclusive, outcome focused and sustainable services with communities for maximum impact. The training is delivered by people who have many years experience in service design and delivery with vulnerable, disadvantaged and hard to reach individuals, groups and communities.

As a result of everybody matters training, people are more confident and skilled to seek, engage and work with vulnerable, disadvantaged and hard to reach individuals and groups. This enables them to improve channels of communication and forge links and partnerships to increase access to sustainable services driven by the community for the community.

CCB conference 2010

Attending the training encouraged me to look at my perceived barriers to engaging with Chinese families - It transpired that the perceived language barrier was not as great as I had thought and I am now regularly in contact with three families on the estate. - Neighbourhood Community Warden, Newbury

It has encouraged me to look more broadly at links which I can make to support homeless people - Police Community Support Officer - Windsor

Using the (Ormerod) 5 Step Model enables me to work in a more structured way. Breaking down issues which appear overwhelming into a process which becomes manageable - Development Worker - Centre for Empowering Practice
