Warm in West Berkshire Launch Workshop
The Warm In West Berkshire Launch Workshop is taking place at Shaw House, Newbury on Friday 20th January from 9.30am - 1.00pm. Warm in West Berkshire is a Department of Health funded initiative that will run until the 31st March 2012. To book a place on the workshop please click here.
Partners include West Berkshire Council, NHS Berkshire West, Community Council for Berkshire, Citizens Advice Bureau, Volunteer Centre West Berkshire and Berkshire Community Foundation.
Warm in West Berkshire provides information and advice on the practical actions everyone can take to save money and keep their homes warm.
Additional individual practical support and guidance is offered, for those in greatest need to deliver the positive health and wellbeing benefits of a warm home.
The launch workshop is your opportunity to
- Understand more about the issues of fuel poverty and the resulting health impacts.
- Learn what new and additional support is on offer for people in the community and how you can access the services.
- Discuss the needs in communities and how they can be best met through this project.
By the end of the workshop you will understand the importance of warm homes and how you can support vulnerable people and the wider community to access the right support.
